It’s no secret as to why this artist was chosen to be part of the top 25 Indie Acoustic artists. This singer/songwriter pours her heart and soul into her music. At just 18 years old, Izzy Marie Hill, hailing all the way from the United Kingdom produces pop/rock/country crossover songs that could make even the most reserved of people want to get up and sing along.
Produced by Chris Lewis, Hill’s latest album The Other Girl has a total of 12 tracks, but it only takes hearing the first song “Sick and Tired” once to be entranced by Hill’s voice. Her debut album holds all the styling’s of her first two years of songwriting, combining many different genres but still establishing her sound as an artist. She touches base on topics like young love and heartbreak, but she does it with pure emotion, innocence and sometimes even humor to keep the listeners on their toes.
As the last track recorded for the album “Jimmy” demonstrates, she sings about her feelings regarding Jim Carrey and his self-proclaimed love to actress Emma Stone.

When she’s not professing her love for Jim Carrey, she’s winning you over with the endearing tracks “Best Friend,” “Lovestruck” and “Luckiest Girl in the World.” They bring a sweet sentiment to the album with the lyrics so poetically pieced together. In fact, as a member of the Nashville Songwriters Association, (NSAI) the track “Lovestruck” was pitched to BMG and Warner and was selected by them just months ago.
Moving through the album, the middle is anything but mediocre. With stand out track “Burning Inside,” Hill takes you on a journey through guitar riffs while she belts out her most impressive vocal performance that keeps you wanting more from this artist. Followed by title track “The Other Girl,” her lyrics laced with honesty and raw emotion allow you to get a feel for hill’s innermost thoughts.
Hill continues to write and has been featured on “BBC Introducing” numerous times. She has also recorded live sessions with them on many occasions. With her YouTube hits and fan base growing, Izzy Marie Hill deserves your attention and a listen!
